The wonderful folks over at Pitchfork were kind enough to write a story about our little project.
A link to the article.A huge thanks to Pitchfork for everything!
I met my favorite band, Sunset Rubdown, earlier this week and three of the four members of the band drew sea monsters for us. I don't have access to a scanner during the weekend, but I will put the drawings up as soon as possible.
At this point in the project, I am going to begin to tone down on the updates. I'd like for there to still be some surprise when the book actually comes out. This doesn't mean I am done taking contributions, I'd still love many many more! Once again, if you would like to contribute, my email address is trevorbasset@gmail.com.
One of my absolute favorite comic artists, Jeffrey Brown, has contributed his very own wonderful sea monster drawing.
I highly recommend everyone go and check out some of Jeffrey's work.
This contribution was done by a drunken Ryan Sahlin last weekend. Props to Ryan for throwing in his own creative touch.
Last night I had the privilege of meeting two of my favorite musicians, Rollie Pemberton (Cadence Weapon) and Owen Pallett (Final Fantasy). Both of them were kind enough to contribute their very own sea monsters to our little publication.

A big thanks to Owen and Rollie for participating. It is nice to see what sort of art a variety of people can come up with, whether those people are actors, musicians, designers, artists, et cetera.
The wonderful Lilli Carré will be contributing to sea monstre. Check out her website! She is a great artist.
A big thanks to my good friend Cory Schmitz for submitting his work so quickly!
Thank you Hannah Templer for submitting five sea monsters!

sea monstre is an art and design zine released through the design department at Cornish College of the Arts. All of the art submitted to this publication should be centered around the theme of sea monsters. If you would like to contribute some artwork, please email trevorbasset@gmail.com. Art work will be scaled down and printed on 3.5" x 5" black and white pages when everything is said and done.
